Best precision grinder

After a lot of research, I finally bought MHW-3bomber R3 grinder and I am so glad I took this decision. It’s very fast and precise. I use it for array of different brews. The outer dial for adjustment is the best. Long handle is very comfortable. Another added bonus is the powerful magnetic quick release mechanism. I would highly recommend every one who is a serious amateur coffee enthusiast.

Upgrade that has leapfrogged my brewing workflow.

Was using a Hario Mini Mill for the past ten years which I upgraded from a knockoff of Hario Skerton. Yes I know, sounds sideways which it is but there weren't many options those days.

But with websites like Fix Coffee we have access to the meta of grinders without the overhead of criminal custom duties.

The grinder arrived at immaculate condition well wrapped inside a styrofoam case. Though it seems optimised for Espresso Grinds, it does a decent if not better job for filter coffee. The grinder is built like a tank, and feels substantial to hold. The ease of dialling in the grind size from the outside is a life changer and each click being 20 microns gives us coffee nerds for unbridled experimentation. The seive supplied with the grinder does a good job for not over sifting fines and the entire setup doubles as a blind shaker which you have to shell out another thousand to acquire.

Pros: Fast and extra features like outer grind adjustment gear, seives. Sturdy stainless steel body that looks super slick like every precision equipment there is.

Cons: the static is overwhelming but can be fixed by RDT. Produces lot of fines which can be offset by grinding at a 45° angle or slow feeding but I frankly don't really care because the methods I used for brewing doesn't let fines over extract. The disassembly could have been made a little easier.

Verdict: Best option at this price range even better than Kingrinder.

A really good espresso budget grinder

One of the best grinders for espresso at this price range and really works well, takes about 1-1.5 minutes to grind 18g (depending on roast level) with bare minimum effort.

Works better than my Baratza Forte that costs almost 9 times more.

I have been using a Timemore Chestnut C2 at home. The MHW-3BOMBER R3 is a big upgrade in terms of grind size adjustments and usability. The grind is very uniform and works even for espresso and that is quite a feat given the price. I have read that it punches well about its price and I believe it is true.

It was a really good investment and value for money.

The perfect high end but reasonably priced grinder

My experience with the R3 has been great so far. It has a wide range of adjustment of grind size and I have used it for Espresso, French Press and Pour Over.
The flavour of the coffee is very nice everytime, the clarity is great and the body is good.
It's very consistent with grinding and easy to clean.
The included sieves are an added bonus. One should definitely try both methods, with the sieve and without the sieve to discover what you prefer.
